WHAT IS A BRONXWIDE PLAN?
Our Bronxwide plan isn’t just a document, it is a social, political, and educational process. By working together to develop a shared vision, the outcome we produce is not just words and images on a page, but a shared understanding, and grassroots leadership with the skillset of thinking long-term and developing shared strategy. Planning “from below” in this sense, is a part of organizing and building power together.

THE BRONX NEEDS A BRONXWIDE PLAN
We deserve time for rest and family, a piece of the good life. Decent housing, stability, peace of mind, and safety. We deserve good health, work with dignity, and opportunities to build shared wealth. We need a Bronxwide Plan to change our economy and win investments in a better Bronx future for our families. We are a Bronx-wide coalition because we are more powerful together.
We are tired of narratives that portray us and the Bronx as people and places only of poverty, desperation, and hardship. Yes, we are struggling. We’ve been struggling. But we are not defined only by our hardship. We are a multilingual, multicultural community with bustling commercial districts, creative energy, community institutions, and neighbors who support each other.
WHO/WHAT IS THE BRONXWIDE COALITION?
The Bronxwide coalition is a group of community, faith, and labor organizations from across the Bronx. The work we are doing together builds on decades of organizing, direct services, advocacy, direct action and more by organizations and community members across the Bronx.
HOW TO JOIN US
We will hold monthly public meetings beginning April 2023. At these meetings, we will discuss the Bronxwide Plan, the project proposals in the plan, economic democracy and more! RSVP above!
